Tata Power Renewable Energy Partners with Dugar Power to Accelerate Nepal’s Renewable Energy Initiatives

Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Ltd, has partnered with Dugar Power, a subsidiary of Dugar Group, a prominent business house in Nepal, to accelerate Nepal’s renewable energy initiatives.

The partnership will enable TPREL to make its strategic entry into Nepal’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector and deploy transformative solar technologies to produce a range of on-grid and off-grid energy solutions.

The agreement is designed to cater to Nepal’s diverse energy requirements, offering scalable solutions from 1 kilowatt (kW) to megawatt (MW) levels.

This partnership will also open up new horizons for TPREL to diversify its offerings, including the supply of solar cells and modules, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, and operations and maintenance (O&M) services in Nepal.

Abhishek Dugar, Managing Director of Dugar Power, said that this alliance is a strategic alignment in achieving Nepal’s long-term objectives for renewable energy and energy self-sufficiency.

This partnership is a significant development in Nepal’s renewable energy sector and is expected to play a key role in accelerating the country’s shift towards sustainable energy.
